Hi kids! In today’s post, I show you an understated look perfect for a stroll around the city, in a chilly but bright afternoon…
It’s crazy how time flies! To begin this outfit was shot in México, by my mom (thanks for the patience mom!) and back when I had yet another colors: a weird mix of blond and pink.
While I was in Mexico City, my plan was to enjoy my family and take a little break, so I had not much intention to shoot any outfit… then the day of my birthday we did an improvised shoot (thanks again mom & dad), and then I thought I’d allow myself to shoot one more, as an excuse to show you one of my favorite places in the city: The Castle of Chapultepec.
I’m not gonna get much into History, since anyways I’m a bit bad at it, but this was the home of Maximilian I and Carlota of Mexico, and afterwards became the official Presidential Residence until 1944.
So you might imagine, the beauty and opulence of this place… although certainly more modest, it gives Versailles a run for its money!
What I love most, is how it is a Castle in the middle of one of the most hectic cities in the world, and yet when you’re inside you feel miles and miles away.
Plus it has a spectacular view (specially at night) that can be appreciated from the most beautiful terraces with tiled floors.
Anyways, back to the outfit; as you may know, I always tend to go for “more is more” in my sartorial choices, and recently I’m trying to educate myself in the art of minimalism, yet I struggled… So for the visit to the Castle I tried to leave behind all unnecessary decorations or accessories, and went for an understated look composed of a simple turtleneck, paired with skinny jeans and statement shoes (to avoid things from getting too boring)…
Sometimes it kind of felt as if something was missing, but I guess I’m just not yet used to it…
Anyways, aside my weird blonde-ish hair, what you think about this look?
Have a nice day!!
