Hey guys! Hope your day is going fine!
Here I am making a really quick post with my photos from the Gosia Baczynska Runway (and the very few shots I took at the backstage).
The show took place at a gorgeous venue, the Hôtel de Monaco (Poland’s Embassy) and it definitely has to be one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve been to in Paris.
Despite it being gorgeous, this show was one of the most challenging to shoot in my Runway Photographer career so far.
Another photographer actually warned me about the minuscule photographer’s pit so I took precautions and arrived 2:30hrs in advance (usually I arrive 1:30hrs) and yeah the pit was only about 1-2 sq meters and with no levels, which is a huge problem for me since I don’t shoot with monopod nor do I bring boxes to sit/stand.
As a matter of fact when I shoot, I do so from the ground… I arrive on time in order to get a good spot sitting on the ground all the way in the front, not blocking anyone’s view while having the freedom to shoot at different zoom distances and angles.
Well in that pit it was impossible to do that since there were chairs for guests just in front of the pit… to not go too much into details I ended up having to stand on my tiptoes during the whole show, with my camera squeezed in between the arms of two photographers who were in front of me filming.
So because of that, my photos don’t have the variety I usually aim for… overall I’m not entirely happy with these shots but since I pretty much broke my back shooting them I thought I might as well put them here.
On another note, I would like to know, what do you think of the collection? I really liked the see through lace look, I think it’s stunning!
Thanks for passing by!
